U series, LED studio video wall
The DiLED® U series is designed to replace backlit LCD and LED video wall displays and DLP projectors where a minimum viewing distance of three meters is required.
In a television studio environment an LED video wall is often too luminous in comparison to other studio lighting. When the luminosity of an LED video wall is dimmed the picture may start to flicker and lose tones of gray. The effective electronic design enables the U series’ panels to be dimmed up to 80 percent without any loss in tone or refresh rate.
Unlike traditional video wall displays, LED panels are not equipped with a front glass plate, and this helps eliminate any reflection originating from studio lighting.
A fully seamless video wall creates more opportunities for set designers. The fully black SMD LED pixels and dark black masking of the U series models assist in enhancing contrast. The wide, 140 x 140 -degree viewing angle enables excellent picture quality for a widespread audience and a broad angle of view.
Because of its stunning picture quality and long life span the model has e.g. been used widely in movie theaters. For example, an 8 x 6 -meter U series LED video wall boasts a resolution of 3,200 x 2,400 pixels.
The luminosity of 1,200 nits/m² is sufficient in even the most well lit environments. The dimming properties of LED video walls make them perfect for use in e.g. studios, control rooms, and any locations where extremely high-resolution LED video walls are required.
